Materials & Craftsmanship
For GMT-Master, Coke, the GENEVA DIAL workshop selects a substantial AISI 304L stainless steel case with brushed and polished surfaces. Brushing softens reflections across the broader surfaces, while polishing accentuates the edges and complements the red and black. A domed, tempered mineral crystal, resistant to everyday scratches, protects the red sector of the bezel; abrasive materials must still be avoided. The genuine glass Cyclops magnifier enlarges the date aperture 2.5×, highlighting this feature of the dial. Weighing 0.8 kg, this 15 cm desk piece retains a tangible presence on a stable surface without encroaching on the space needed for work essentials.

A 1.5 V AA battery powers the movement for more than twelve months. The photoluminescent hour markers and hands charge under light, particularly UV light, then emit a gradually fading glow; they do not provide permanent illumination.
